“Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?”
– Jeremy Clarkson
I’ve loved cars since I was a wee little child, and I honestly don’t know why. Something about the shape of them, the look, and the utter insanity of them. I was one of those kids that would go to the local auto show and bring home posters of dream cars and put them on my wall, and played video games and wanted cars that weren’t even in production anymore just because I used it in a race and it looked cool. I was obsessed with them. As an adult, I never succeeded at becoming a mechanic or race car driver like I dreamed; so instead I photographed them and that’s how I got started in automotive photography. I do love driving however; I love the feeling of the road, with the control in your hands. The feel of the engine, as it pushes you deeper into your seat. The sound of the power farting out the rear, from mine and others around. Driving, to me isn’t just a form of transportation. It’s a hobby, a feeling, a.. state of zen.
I’ve taken it too far now, haven’t I?
