Tuk-tuks are the iconic taxi of Thailand (and India as well). These 3-wheels shanty vehicles are a very popular and affordable way to get around Thailand. They’re also super sketchy and you don’t exactly feel safe in them, but it’s definitely an experience.
In the big dense cities like Bangkok, the tuk tuks tend to be decked out with lights and chrome and a wild myriad of modifications. But out on the countryside, the tuktuks are super simple, and really have that cheap shanty feel.
